Who is SpiTux?  A portmanteau: SpiTux = Spitak+Tux.  Tux is the Linux mascot.
Spitak is the town in Armenia where we're doing this project.  Nice to meet you!

UFO Animation

The Story:

Little extraterrestrial creatures are working on a spaceship (formerly, a Fanta bottle!). After they've put it together, they step back, and it flies off into the space. We've used special effects to make the ship shine lights and fly off.

This animation was made as a long, all-day project. The children gathered at the Pottery Studio of the Museum of Children's Art in Yerevan. The SpiTux Animation group came over from Spitak, and was joined by a few pottery and art students from Yerevan. The figures of the extraterrestrial creatures were formed from fresh clay, which was very hard: the clay dries up and crumbles as you go along.
