Edik Ehtibaryan
IATP Site Administrator, and the Program Director of the
Shogher Youth Center.
Collaborated with the SpiTux Project August 2002-present.

Emilia Bostanchyan
IATP Trainer, and a
Spitak Boarding School teacher, working by special arrangement with the mentally handicapped children
at the Mother Teresa Hospital. Volunteered for the SpiTux Project January-March 2003,
then worked for SpiTux in April-June 2003;
now works for IATP and collaborates with SpiTux.

SpiTux Animation Group teacher, and an Art and Religious Studies teacher at the Spitak Italian School.

SpiTux People in Yerevan and Abroad

Anoush Najarian
Author of the SpiTux Project.
In 2002-03, volunteered for SpiTux, lead computer lessons at the Spitak
Boarding School,
taught Networking
to Yerevan State University MS in Computer Science students, and worked as an
IATP Spitak Site trainer. Now lives and works in Boston,
and is a mentor at the Computer Clubhouse.

Karen Najaryan
Volunteer computer instructor. Volunteered for the SpiTux Project August 2002-June 2003. Taught dozens of students, and
helped out -- immensely -- with organization, transportation, and renovations.

Valentina Mouradian
Volunteer design instructor. In the real world, teaches Industrial Design at the Yerevan Polytechnic.
Volunteered for the SpiTux Project during October-November 2002.

Nora Martirosyan
Modern artist, a great friend of the Spitak kids, and a veteran Spitak
Student Camp Leader. Living in France and traveling between grad
schools in Amsterdam and in Lille, Nora came to Spitak and directed five
awesome animations in November 2002, and gave a wonderful
masterclass for the SpiTux Animation Group in August 2003.

Steve Shepherd
Works at John Hancock Financial Services in Boston.
Steve persuaded JH to donate 3 used computers to the
Spitak Boarding School in February 2003.
The United Armenian Fund charity flight brought the machines over to Armenia. Steve came to
Spitak in January 2003 and met those of our kids who toughed out the cold, as well as
Mrs. Asatryan of the Boarding School.

John Davis-Cooke
Works at Stratus Teachnologies in the Boston area.
At John's request, Stratus donated 4 used computers and a variety of other equipment to the
Spitak Boarding School in April 2003.
The United Armenian Fund charity flight brought the machines over to Armenia. John visited Spitak
in March 2003, and worked with our kids on English voiceovers to animations.

Michael Pelsmajer
Came to Spitak in June 2003 from Chicago, where he is a professor at the
Illinois Institute of Technology.
Michael donated an 8-port hub and Ethernet connections for the lab at
Spitak Boarding School.
He also joined the kids on the radio expedition to the
village of Arevashogh.

Meena Ramakrishnan
Meena and coworkers Ken Melkisetian, Lei Xu, Chai Pydimukkala, and Reed Shilts,
from Sybase in Boston, donated $260 to SpiTux in April 2003.
We're incredibly glad! We were able to buy a digital dictaphone and finance our radio expeditions with the money.
